Lump-Sum Payment for Withdrawal for Individuals Who Do Not Possess Japanese Citizenship


This payment is provided when an individual who does not possess Japanese citizenship and who has been a member for at least six months and whose membership period (or equivalent) has lasted for less than 10 years claims it within two years of ceasing to retain his/her address in Japan.

Lump Sum Amount = Average standard remuneration by coverage period x Payment rate

Payment rate = Contribution rate as of the preceding October of the year of the final month covered (*1) (when the final month is between January and August, the contribution rate as of October two years earlier) (*2) x 1/2 x Multiplier in the table (*3)
 


  *1: The month preceding the month when eligibility as an insured is lost.
  *2: Transitional measures when the application month of the contribution rate falls between 2013 and 2017
    a.October 2013 => Premium rate of national mutual aid for the month x 2
    b.October 2014 => Premium rate of national mutual aid for the month x 2
    c.October 2015 - October 2017 => Rate as determined in the table below
