The amount of the disaster relief payment is determined separately for residence and household effects, and they are combined. The benefit amount would be capped at the three-month equivalent of the standard monthly salary. |

Residence is defined as a building in which the member is actually living, e.g., own house, rented house, municipal housing.
Household effects are defined as properties other than the house that are necessary for daily living, e.g., furniture, furnishings, bedding, and clothing (real estate properties, cash, deposited funds, and securities are excluded). |

If the member and his/her dependent(s) live separately, the residence and personal effects of the dependent(s) will be treated as part of those of the member. |
